St Mary's Nursery in Finchley is a 15 and 30 hours funded childcare provider
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education or childcare per week. This is referred to as Universal Free Childcare. Some may also be entitled to an additional 15 hours of free childcare per week, which is called 30 hours funded childcare. You will need to check if you are eligible for the 30 hours funded childcare via an online portal, Childcare Choices https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk or the Childcare Calculator https://www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator. Universal Hours is the standard 15 hours which all 3&4 years old are entitled to, you will need the 30 hour eligibility code if you are claiming Extended Hours. (30Hours = 15 universal + 15 extended)
Payment for additional hours
The nursery day currently starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.30pm.
The 15 hours funded childcare is offered either across 5 morning sessions from 8.50am to 11.50am or 5 afternoons from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
For those not eligible for the 30 hours funded childcare, the cost per hour to top up to a full time place is £6.90 per hour, totaling £103.50 per week.
There is an optional lunch session between 11.50am and 12.30pm, charged at £4.60 per day. You will have the option for your child to have a hot school lunch provided by our Gold Food for Life caterers at a daily cost (currently at £2.56
per day) or you can send in a packed lunch from home.
Parents who do not wish for their child to stay for lunch are able to collect at 11.50am and return their child to school at 12.30pm.
We accept 'tax free childcare' payments and childcare vouchers to pay for nursery fees and wraparound childcare fees. We are not able to accept childcare vouchers to pay towards the cost of the hot lunch session in line with the HMRC guidelines.
Wraparound Childcare
In partnership with Poolside, our outstanding OFSTED-rated breakfast, after-school and holiday club providers, we are able to offer a breakfast club from 7.30am to 8.50am and an after-school club from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. Click here for more information.
